Jimmy MacCarthy and Declan Sinnott’s four concerts at Ballincollig have sold out

Ahead of Jimmy MacCarthy, Declan Sinnott and the Electric Horsemen’s four intimate gigs at the White Horse in Ballincollig, Co. Cork the owners have revealed that all these shows have been sold out.

A representative from the venue had the following to say:

“What a response — and a real reflection of what Jimmy’s music means to people.

Jimmy MacCarthy’s four-night residency at The White Horse went on sale last Friday at 11am, and within a few days every single night was completely sold out, with over 450 tickets gone.

No surprise really. This is Jimmy MacCarthy — the songs, the stories, the legacy.

To have him here, with Declan Sinnott and The Electric Horsemen, in a intimate venue like ours in The White Horse … that’s something special.”

The concerts will take place on May 25th, June 1st, June 8th and June 15th.

Fans can expect to hear many of Jimmy’s famous compositions, which include Ride On, Katie, As I Leave Behind Neidin, The Contender and more.

Jimmy MacCarthy and Declan Sinnott have a long history together dating back to 1979 when they opened for John Martyn at Connolly Hall in Cork with an acoustic set and toured the country with the electric-based rock band Southpaw.

Jimmy MacCarthy will return to his native Cork on October 1st for a major show at the Opera House and then play Dublin’s National Concert Hall on October 14th. Tickets for both shows are still available.
